The Municipality of Portimão is once again promoting the Sports Gala – Homage to Portimonense Champions, whose candidacies run until the 11th of November.
The purpose of the Gala is to recognize and reward the sporting merit of entities, managers and athletes who stood out in the 2021/22 sports season, and registrations can be made by all athletes who, individually or collectively, have obtained federative titles. international, national or district, representing clubs, schools or universities based in the municipality of Portimão.
In addition to honoring the athletes in evidence during the last season, the Gala will also highlight the merit of the entities or personalities that, in a relevant way, have contributed to the sporting development of the municipality, in order to encourage all sports agents to improve their performance. for the benefit of local society.
Athletes representing institutions located in other municipalities can also compete, as long as they are natural or reside in the municipality of Portimão, and the application process started after a communication addressed by the City Council to all local sports entities that participate in the competitive frameworks of Federated Sports, School Sports and University Sports.
Applications must be delivered by the 11th at the services of the Sports and Youth Division of the Municipality of Portimão (Avenida Miguel Bombarda, N.º 3 – 8500-299 Portimão), or sent via email to the e-mail Esporte@ cm-portimao.pt.
The ceremony, which already has 21 editions, will take place again, as usual, within the scope of the official commemorations of the Day of the City of Portimão, on December 11th.
