“Cachopo Natural” invites you to climb the mountain to discover the riches of the rural world

On Sunday

Promoting the cultural and natural heritage of «one of the most traditional villages in the Algarve mountains» is the objective of the event “Cachopo Natural”, which will take place in the village of the same name in the municipality of Tavira, on Sunday, November 20th.

This event invites «to discover the rural world, the uses and practices that have passed from generation to generation, history, popular architecture and the genuine flavors of our mountains», according to the organization.

Throughout the day, those who climb the mountain to Cachopo can participate in various trail events, recreational and music workshops, as well as enjoy the local cuisine.

All of this in the midst of «unique landscapes» and through «the practice of sports, essential to health and well-being».

"Cachopo Natural" is an organization of the Parish Council of Cachopo and the City Council of Tavira in partnership with the Recreation Association of the Parish of Cachopo-AFC, Companhia Intervenção Proteção e Socorro 18 UEPS/GNR, School of Hospitality and Tourism of Vila Real de Santo António, School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism of the University of Algarve, Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Algarve, Algarve Jazz Orchestra, Cachopo Parish Center and In Loco Association.

– 10:00 am – Workshop “Health is… Movement” – Organisation: Integrated Master's Course in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Algarve

– 10:00 am – Traditional Algarve Cuisine Workshop – Organized by: School of Hospitality and Tourism of Vila Real de Santo António and cooks from the Parish of Cachopo

– 10:00 – Ecotourism and Sustainable Local Development Workshop – Organization: Associação In Loco with the participation of students from the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism of the University of the Algarve

– 10:00 am – Workshop/Interpretive Tour “Cultural and Natural Heritage Circuit of Tapirs and Museums of Mealha – Organisation: archaeologist Vera Viegas with the participation of students from the Higher School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism of the University of the Algarve

– 10:00 – Workshop “How Does a Band Work? I can play? (trumpet, saxophone, piano, double bass, drums and voice) Organization: Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve.

– 12:30 pm – Lunch Tertúlia – Cachopo Natural: What future? – Former Primary School of Cachopo
