Female athletes who want to play football, futsal and beach football in the Algarve can now find out which club suits them in the “VemPlay” project website of the Portuguese Football Federation and of which the Algarve Football Association (AFA) is a partner.
According to the AFA, the project will make it possible to «facilitate the choice of training entity for those looking for sports offers for female athletes», as well as increase the number of girls and girls in these modalities.
On the other hand, it will also make it possible to «highlight clubs that already have female athletes» and give an opportunity to clubs that still do not have female athletes to show «interest in receiving these athletes as well».
«Using Score data, the website presents the clubs that had female athletes registered in the 2021/22 season and 2022/23 season. However, it is also possible for other clubs to show their interest in being present in this project», concludes the AFA.
