Castelo de Silves will host the Água Jovem Forum, on the 12th of October, with the presence of around 200 students from all over the Algarve.
The Forum will feature the participation of competitors in the “Água Jovem 2022” contest, which distinguished the best works on “The (true) value of water” (Theme I) and “A Ribeira de Odelouca” (Theme II) in the teaching categories. pre-school, 1st cycle of basic education, 2nd cycle of basic education, 3rd cycle of basic education and students who benefit from selective and additional educational measures.
The Água Jovem Forum has as its theme “Alliance for Water”. The objective of the initiative is to «raise awareness and disseminate to the school community the importance of the future sustainability of this important resource», says the Câmara de Silves in a note.
This initiative has as partners Águas do Algarve, Zoomarine, International Water Technology, Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests, Directorate General of Schools in the Algarve, Refood, Ciência Viva Centers in the Algarve, Lagos and Tavira, Algar and Associação Lilac.
