Ryanair launches flights from Faro to Madrid, Frankfurt, Luxembourg and Nuremberg

Low cost airline will have the biggest offer ever, in terms of seats, this winter

Ryanair will have new routes to Faro from Madrid, Frankfurt, Luxembourg and Nuremberg this winter, revealed to the Sul Informação Elena Cabrera, country manager Ryanair to Portugal and Spain.

The airline's winter schedule low cost at Gago Coutinho Airport, in Faro, «it started now and will be the biggest ever», with a record offer of 800 thousand seats, in 30 routes, assured the same official.

«To make a comparison, in the winter of 2019, which is the comparable year, we had 550 thousand. Therefore, we are going to increase the capacity for the Airport of Faro by about 30%", he said.

In all, Ryanair will operate 30 routes to and from Faro. The four new connections, which «will start now in October, towards the end of the month, and will last until March», join others, such as those for the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, but also «Berlin, Marseille , Milan and Vienna, among many others».

This reinforcement of the bet on Faro This is because, for the Irish airline, «the Algarve is a destination that works very well. We also aim to put more capacity in Portugal. We already operate in six airports and we have five bases, one in the Algarve, where we have four planes”, he revealed.

«The Algarve region is, for us, a very important and attractive destination. It has the beaches, the weather. We are an Irish company and the Irish love the Algarve, as do people from all over the UK, which was our first market”, praised Elena Cabrera.

“It is the first time that we have made so many places available for Faro in the winter period. This happens because we can see that it is a destination that is growing and works very well, but also because we have the capacity. We bought 210 Boeing Gamechanger planes, of which the first 73 arrived in the summer", explained the country manager Ryanair to the Iberian Peninsula, in an interview with Sul Informação.

“The new planes are much more sustainable. It has 40% less acoustic emissions, produces 16% less CO2 emissions and has 4% more space for passengers”, concluded Elena Cabrera.

As usual at the beginning of each season, the airline low cost is offering flights, cheaper than usual, from 24,99 euros, «for one-way trips from October 22nd to March 23rd», which are booked on the company's website, until next Saturday, October 8th .
