Tivoli Carvoeiro's The One Restaurant hosts wine dinners throughout October

Four emblematic names of Portuguese wines featured in the Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort restaurant

The One Restaurant, at the Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort, already twice awarded by the American magazine W for the excellence of its wine list, now promotes new wine dinners, with «exceptional gastronomic proposals signed by the executive chef Bruno Augusto, in a foodpairing more than perfect with some of the most renowned national wine producers».

In a fluid and balanced dance, between some of the most emblematic gastronomic proposals of the The One Restaurant and new suggestions designed especially for this occasion and for each wine, wine dinners are scheduled for each Saturday in October, offering a different menu each weekend, «all of them inspired by the best traditional products, maintaining their authenticity and respecting the best that is produced at this time of year», emphasizes the restaurant.

The first event is scheduled for October 8th, a dinner with pairing of wines Goat Wines, from the Algarve region. The White Goat, a blend aroma of arinto and verdelho, will welcome everyone who embarks on this wine dinner, on a journey of flavors that continues towards the Creme Brulée de Sapateira, Ginger Mousse and Coriander, in the company of Cabrita Reserva White, the result of a vintage very selective manual.

Next comes the Sea Bass with Beurre-blanc and Caviar, served with Citrus Rice, accompanied by Cabrita Arinto, blend where the notes of candied lemon, apple and a brief woody note stand out.

The elegant Cabrita Red then arrives accompanied by the Lamb Hock with Potato Gnocchi and Rosemary sauce, and the final destination for dinner is the Fig Tartlete with Chocolate from Madagascar, in pairing with the elegant, intense and fresh mouth of the Cabrita Negra Mole wine.

Located in the heart of the Algarve, the wines long gully set the tone for the wine dinner on the following Saturday, the 15th, with BL Viognier, a crystalline single variety, delicate and expressive in its aroma, to welcome you, followed by a Sparkling Rosé that goes with a selection from Terra ao Mar – Mussels with virgin sauce, quail, fried moray eel, goat cheese and pear samosas with walnuts and even oysters with yuzu.

Next comes the grilled octopus with cockle rice in pairing with the elegant, fresh and seductive BL Grande Escolha White; the Duck Magret, Parsley Gnocchi, Chocolate and Pepper Sauce accompanied by BL Syrah Reserva, a full-bodied blend with chocolate notes, and to finish the meal and enhance the selection of regional Algarve sweets, we present the knockouts, also called KO Late Harvest, a criterion for winning and ending a fight valid at the end of an excellent meal.

The 22nd, it's wine time Spur take the stage, with Assobio Rosé, coming from traditional Douro varieties, from vineyards in plots with some altitude, welcoming this event and the first act reserved for the duo Ameal Loureiro, a wine born in the Lima sub-region, and Shrimp and Avocado Salad with Bergamot Vinaigrette, followed by the Beetroot Risotto with Cod Confit, accompanied by the intense and balanced Esporão Colheita Branco, with an elegant body and a vibrant and persistent finish.

Organically produced from mature vines, Esporão Reserva Red then comes on the scene accompanied by Pork Cheeks with Celery Purée and Topinambur and finally, it's time to taste the Mil Folhas de Pastel de Nata served with Cinnamon Ice Cream, in the company of a Tawny Porto Murças 10 Years Old, which expresses all the potential of the Covelinhas region for the production of great Tawnys.

Arriving at the last weekend of October, 29 is the date reserved for Wines Dona Maria, from the Alentejo region, more precisely from Estremoz. The Rosé will be ready and fresh to start dinner, with the first menu option being the Tomato and Poppy Knodel with Cod and Arugula chips accompanied by DM White, an aromatic wine with a rich fruit flavor.

Afterwards, the Sun-dried Tomato Risotto with Ham and Basil will be served. pairing with DM Amantis White, a wine fermented in barrels, very balanced, and the meat proposal, a Jarret of Lamb with White Polenta, will be accompanied by DM Amantis Red, a complex, rich and very elegant wine, with a very persistent finish, a perfect wine to accompany red meats, cheeses and roasts.

Cheeses from Nisa, Azeitão and Beira Baixa in the company of DM Tinto, blend with red fruits in the aroma and on the palate, they end this experience of flavors and senses.

Each wine dinner costs €60 per person, with water, coffee or tea included.

The One Restaurant is open every day for dinner, between 19:00 and 22:00.
