Loulé Civil Protection is promoting awareness-raising actions on the risk of floods and floods in the municipality, for example in areas susceptible to this phenomenon.
«The initiative had the cooperation of the Loulé Fire Department and was planned in order to provide direct contact with the population in the areas of the municipality historically more susceptible and more vulnerable to this type of risk, with emphasis on the parishes of S. Clemente, S. Sebastião, Boliqueime and the coastal areas of Almancil and Quarteira», says the Loulé Chamber.
In the localities, in public and private spaces, leaflets and posters on preventive and self-protection behaviors were distributed.
Municipal technicians also left advice on behaviors to be adopted during and after a flood.
In Portugal, the hydrological year starts on October 1st and ends on September 30th.
