UAlg’s “Learn +” project takes students to Potes

The meeting took place at the IES Jesus de Monasterio school

An exchange of students, within the scope of the “Learn+” project, financed by the “Erasmus+” program and coordinated by the University of Algarve, took place from 17 to 21 October, in Potes (Spain).

The meeting, which took place at the IES Jesus de Monasterio school, brought together students and teachers to carry out activities, promoting learning in the discipline of mathematics. This exchange also allowed students to explore the cultures of these four countries.

The “LEARN +” project, coordinated by Mauro Figueiredo, professor at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia, began in the 2019/2020 school year and has as partners the Association of Mathematics Teachers of Portugal, the Federation of Mathematics Teachers of Spain, the Association of Teachers of Mathematics and Science in Germany, the Society of Mathematics Teachers of Cyprus, the Schools of Saint Anthony (Barreiro), IES Jesus de Monasterio (Spain), Neunkirchen (Germany), Agios Tychonas (Cyprus) and the University of Education from Heidelberg (Germany).

With this project, we intend to implement innovative pedagogical practices that promote active learning, pedagogical differentiation and autonomy, with the support of the MILAGE APRENDER+ platform, developed by the University of Algarve so that all students succeed in mathematical learning and develop skills of the century. XXI.

In this way, the University of Algarve, through this “Erasmus+” project, also continues to promote the internationalization of the “Milage Learn +” platform, with patents in the US and other European countries.
