Miguel Oliveira, a rider who competes in the MotoGP World Championship, will make his debut in car rallies behind the wheel of a Hyundai i20N Rally2, at the Rallye Casinos do Algarve, which takes place from the 11th to the 13th of November. Oliveira will have Carlos Magalhães as his co-driver.
According to the Clube Automovel do Algarve, which organizes the Algarve event, «Hyundai Portugal will enter two i20N Rally2s in the Rallye Casinos do Algarve, which will award the 2022 Portuguese Rally Cup».
The other car will be crewed by the 2019 and 2021 champions, Ricardo Teodósio and José Teixeira from the Algarve.
“Anyone who knows me and follows me knows that I am also passionate about four wheels. I've had some experiences on the track, but this is a great challenge, to do a race on the road”, said Miguel Oliveira.
“I'm looking forward to it, I'll have my adrenaline pumping to adapt to the car and the stages. This is yet another great experience with Hyundai and my aim is to make the most of it and have fun. I am very happy to also have a reason to be closer to my fans in Portugal and live in a different environment from my usual competitions”, added the pilot.
The race can be followed on the social networks of Clube Automóvel do Algarve (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), and an online radio monitoring the race is even produced, similar to the last editions and also with television coverage.
Rallye Casinos do Algarve is organized by the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, under the aegis of the Portuguese Automobile and Karting Federation, with the support of Solverde Casinos e Hotéis, the municipalities of Lagoa, Lagos, Monchique and Portimão, as well as Medronhito do Cauldron.
