IEFP Algarve promotes employment and cross-border mobility

In the fourth edition of the Eures-Transfrontier Andalusia-Algarve project (EURES T AA)

The launch meeting of the fourth edition of the Eures Transfrontieriço Andalusia-Algarve 2022-24 (Eures T AA) project took place on the 27th, in Faro, with the presence of Madalena Feu, regional delegate for the Algarve of the IEFP, and Alberto Santana Martínez, provincial delegate of the Andalusian Employment Service of Huelva.

Also present were those responsible for the Public Employment Services (SPE), partners on both sides of the border, and entities and institutions from the Algarve and Andalusia region that can contribute and collaborate for the success of this project.

The EURES T AA partnership aims to «promote cross-border mobility, identifying, minimizing and eliminating its obstacles and promoting cooperation in the labor field between the regions of Andalusia and the Algarve».

The creation of a Cross-border Employment Observatory is foreseen, allowing partners and collaborating entities to analyze the evolution of the business and productive fabric, of professions and qualifications, both in the Algarve and in Andalusia, in order to anticipate solutions and alternatives for companies and project the future of the region.

The project is co-funded by the European Commission and is currently coordinated by the Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) in collaboration with the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (as co-promoter).

The project also counts, as partners, with the State Employment Public Service (SEPE), the universities of Huelva and the Algarve, the Coordination and Regional Development Commission of the Algarve and Diputación de Huelva, Mancom Islantilla, the Association for the do Baixo Guadiana “Odiana”, Associação Tertúlia Algarvia, the Eurocidade do Guadiana and the main business and union organizations operating in the border territory (CEA, FOE, NERA, ACRAL, CCOO Andalusia, UGT Andalusia, UGT Algarve, CGTP-IN Algarve) .
