Loulé GNR catches two women and a man suspected of theft and robbery

The operation culminated a year of investigations

Two women, aged 41 and 45, and a 22-year-old man were accused of robbery and theft, in the municipality of Loulé, after an operation by the GNR Loulétana Territorial Detachment, which took place yesterday, October 25th.

As part of an investigation that lasted about a year related to a qualified theft and robbery and in compliance with three house search warrants and a search warrant in a vehicle, the suspects were identified and material, drugs and money were seized.

According to a statement from the GNR, three individual doses of cocaine, 2600 euros in cash, prescription glasses, a knife, three cell phones, two cards, a backpack and bluetooth headphones were seized.

The suspects, with criminal records for robbery and theft, were made defendants and the facts communicated to the Judicial Courts of Faro and from Loulé.

This operation was reinforced by the Intervention Detachment (DI) of Faro of the GNR.

The National Republican Guard explains that this «police operation to combat violent and serious crime», carried out «in various places in the municipality of Loulé», was intended to «increase the feeling of security among the population».
