Two men suspected of drug trafficking were arrested on Sunday, the 3rd, in Monchique, in a GNR operation that made it possible to seize 2521 doses of cannabis.
The Criminal Investigation Nucleus (NIC) of the Portimão GNR obtained “information on the trafficking and cultivation of cannabis in the Monchique area” and managed to discover the location of a cannabis plantation.
This led to an operation, during which five home search warrants and three non-domiciliary search warrants were carried out, which made it possible to discover and learn the 2521 doses of cannabis, 49 doses of hashish, two cannabis plants, six grams of cannabis seeds, a mobile phone, a precision digital scale and 960 euros.
The detainees, aged 53 and 40, were made arguidos and the facts were reported to the Portimão Judicial Court.
