Centro Qualifica do Barlavento opens process of recognition and validation of competences

Aimed at inhabitants of the municipalities of Lagos, Portimão and Silves

Residents of Lagos, Portimão and Silves interested in validating, certifying and having their school skills recognized can now do so at the Centro Qualifica do Barlavento of the Instituto do Emprego e Formação Profissional (IEFP).

Qualifica from the Barlavento Vocational Training Center has opened registrations to carry out the process of Recognition, Validation and Certification of School and Professional Competences (RVCC) in these three municipalities, with the aim of «increasing the level of qualification and improving the employability of assets, significantly reduce illiteracy rates'.

The measure "is aimed at adults who wish to continue their qualification path, or who seek to improve their situation regarding employment", according to the IEFP.

The certification processes focus on the School RVCC and Professional RVCC aspects. At school level, it allows completion of the 6th, 9th or 12th year.

At a professional level, the following professions are possible: Agent in Geriatrics; Chef; Hairdresser; Educational Action Technician; Encouraging sociocultural; Commercial Technician; Gardening Technician; Health Assistant Technician; IT Technician; Youth Technician; Admnistrative technician; Accounting technician; among others, which allow you to obtain a professional certification.

The process is financed by the Qualifica Accelerator, an incentive (1,25 from the IAS, amount of 544 euros) granted to candidates who meet the eligibility conditions, through the completion of an academic or professional qualification in process (RVCC).
