There is a lot to choose from

Castro Marim will celebrate Saint Martin's Day with magustos throughout the county, from the 11th to the 13th of November.

In Castro Marim, S. Martinho's Day (11) will be celebrated in the heart of the town. With roasted chestnuts and jeropiga, Praça 1º de Maio hosts, from 16:00, a dance by the musician Zé Aníbal and, at 20:00, the performance of the Rancho Folclórico do Azinhal.

The next day, November 12, it's time to taste chestnuts and jeropiga in Odeleite, starting at 15 pm. This gathering will be animated by Duo Reflexo.

In Altura, the celebrations take place on the 13th, with the “Feirinha da Castanha”, which opens at 10:00 am, next to the Municipal Market. From 14:00 pm, there will be music with Silvino Campos and, at 16:00 pm, there will be a performance by the Ethnographic Group St. Antonio de Arenilha.

In turn, Alta Mora hosts the XVII Convívio de S. Martinho with the well-known pedestrian walk, which opens the festivities. Registration for the walking tour + lunch is now open, via the e-mail [email protected], and the following data must be sent: name, CC/BI number and date of birth.

This is followed by the traditional magusto and dance with Duo Reflexo, starting at 14 pm. At the same time, there is the Mercadinho de S. Martinho, where you can buy some of the best local products, such as honey, bread, cheese and handicrafts.

The S. Martinho gatherings are initiatives supported by the Municipality of Castro Marim and organized by the Parish Council of Castro Marim, the Parish Council of Odeleite and the Social Association of the Parish of Odeleite, the Parish Council of Altura and the Recreation, Cultural and Sports Association of the Friends of Alta Mora (ARCDAA)
