Briton suffered cardiorespiratory arrest on Peneco beach

A British man, around 60 years old, was helped on the afternoon of Monday, October 3rd, after having suffered a cardiac arrest, on Peneco beach (Albufeira).

The alert was given at 12:00 pm.

Immediately, elements of the Maritime Police Post of Albufeira and the “SeaWatch” Project were activated for the “location”. Elements of the Volunteer Firefighters of Albufeira and INEM were also activated for the site», says the National Maritime Authority (AMN).

The victim was immediately assisted at the scene by lifeguards on the beach and by the Volunteer Firefighters of Albufeira, who started the resuscitation maneuvers until the arrival of INEM elements who continued the maneuvers, in collaboration with the elements of the “SeaWatch ”.

After several attempts, «it was possible to reverse the situation of the victim who was later transported by the Volunteer Firefighters of Albufeira» to the hospital.
