The opportunity that young people from Faro will enjoy «resulted from applications for the mobility project in the fields of education, training and youth and are under the coordination of Professor Maria João Seruca in Portugal and Professor Carmen Manrique Domingo in Seville».

This group includes two deaf students and the Portuguese Sign Language interpreter Inês Teixeira.

During their stay in Seville, «these students will have the possibility to develop technical, relational and organizational skills that only training in a work context allows», describes the João de Deus School Group.

On the other hand, the experience in a foreign country «demands from the student the development of other skills, such as the improvement of the English language and, in this case, the learning of the Spanish language and the recognition of cultural and multicultural diversity».

Over the last few years, Escola Secundária João de Deus «has regularly received and sent students, within the scope of the European Erasmus+ program, “KA1 – Individual Mobility Project for Learning Purposes”, which finances all student expenses».

«This project aims to facilitate the insertion in the labor market for students of professional courses and to promote the transparency of qualifications. Previous experiences have made it possible to send students to countries such as Italy, Poland and Belgium», he adds.
