The Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) will reward students with the best academic performance within the scope of the PhD in Clinical Research and Translational Medicine, at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Algarve (UAlg). The ceremony takes place this Wednesday, October 19, at 21 pm, at Cineteatro Louletano.
According to ABC, «this is an incentive and recognition of the merit of the best students, thus contributing, through the Lídia Jorge Excellence Scholarship, to a successful path, marked by the proximity of the academic and scientific ecosystem».
The gala will feature a concert by the Orquestra Clássica do Sul. Admission is free – subject to room capacity – and open to the public.
The Lídia Jorge Excellence Scholarship is promoted by ABC and allows the funding of the first year of tuition for students with the best academic performance in the PhD in Clinical Research and Translational Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Algarve.
«Through this annual grant, the aim is to encourage and recognize the merit of the best students, thus contributing to a successful path, marked by the proximity of the academic and scientific ecosystem», concludes the ABC.
