Vila Real de Santo António welcomes all teachers in the county

Councilor for education conveyed the municipality's availability to collaborate with schools, teachers and students

The Vila Real de Santo António City Council welcomed teachers from the county's School Groups this Tuesday, in a ceremony held at the António Aleixo Cultural Center, in that city.

The session was attended by the councilor responsible for education, Conceição Pires, the director of the José I School Group, Eduardo Cunha, and the deputy director of the VRSA School Group, José Carlota.

The initiative brought together nearly one hundred and a half teachers, who got to know the municipal educational dynamics, having also counted on various cultural moments provided by the Contemporary Ballet Academy and the Splash Dance School, in addition to a guided tour of the Historic Center of City.

During the session, the councilor responsible for Education conveyed the municipality's availability to collaborate with schools, teachers and students within the competences assigned to it, namely through the continuity of education and youth projects.

Conceição Pires also highlighted the Municipality's Educational Offer for all levels of education, through which teachers and students can enjoy structured thematic activities and framed in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Agenda 20/30, in a clear curricular enhancement. and formative.

«This commitment is essentially oriented towards the development of an active, responsible and realistic citizenship, integrated in curricular approaches, contributing to the integral formation of the student and to the challenges of XNUMXst century societies», said Conceição Pires.

«I am convinced that we are all ready to undertake the efforts that, in conjunction and collaboration, will make the school and the classroom spaces for learning and interpersonal interaction, favoring the development of individual and collective identity», continued the mayor.
