VAMUS Algarve installs its first automatic ticket purchase kiosks

Kiosks provide information in Portuguese and English

The new automatic kiosks from VAMUS – Transportes do Algarve are already in operation. The first kiosks were installed at the Airport of Faro (next to the Bus Stop), at the Bus Terminals of Faro, Lagos, Albufeira and Tavira.

The company explains that, “in this way, it is now possible to purchase tickets in advance, load the pass or prepaid card in these places 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year”.

The kiosks provide information in Portuguese and English, accepting payment with all bank cards.

In the coming weeks, automatic kiosks will also be installed at the Loulé and Quarteira Bus Terminals and at the Aqua Shopping Center in Portimão.

The next step will be to add the option to purchase transport tickets for urban networks at kiosks, such as Vai e Vem in Portimão, A Onda in Lagos or the Giro in Albufeira.

«Although the VAMUS Algarve app has already conquered thousands of users, the truth is that a large part of passengers continues to favor the use of physical media», explains the company.

For that reason, the new kiosks are «a good way to eliminate queues and save passengers time and money»

The prepaid card launched by VAMUS Algarve offers discounts between 10 and 50% on the purchase of your trips, valid for all lines of the VAMUS Algarve network.
