Technicians from the Portuguese Environment Agency visited Silves

The visit included a trip to the walkway of Praia Grande

On the 20th of September, the Municipality of Silves received two technicians from the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), within the scope of the European Mobility Week.

Carla Jorge, senior technician of the Environmental Citizenship Division, Department and Communication and Environmental Citizenship, and Augusto Serrano, Division Chief of the Environmental Citizenship Division, Department and Communication and Environmental Citizenship, were the APA elements that visited the municipality.

The program of the visit included the reception at the Salão Nobre dos Paços do Concelho, by President Rosa Palma, followed by a visit to the riverside area, highlighting the electric bicycle project, the work on Rua Atrás dos Muros and the walkway at Praia Grande. .

The municipality was accompanied by councilor Tiago Raposo, chief of staff Telma Caroço and senior technician Luísa Brazia.

Presenting the strategic lines and some of the projects to be developed in order to improve accessibility and mobility conditions in the municipal territory, focusing on local specificities and their relevance in terms of mobility, were the main objectives of this visit.
