PSD demands that the procedure at Hospital Central do Algarve advance until the 30th

Change of minister is not "excuse for violating the Budget Law"

PSD deputies elected by the Algarve demand that the procedure for building and equipping the new Hospital Central do Algarve be launched by the end of September, as stipulated in the State Budget, and do not accept the change of Minister of Health as an excuse for that doesn't happen.

Luís Gomes, Rui Cristina and Ofélia Ramos went public to remind the new minister that, «last May, it was clearly expressed in the State Budget Law that "until the end of the third quarter of 2022, the Government adopts the necessary steps to ensure the procedure for the construction and equipment of the new building of the Hospital Central do Algarve”».

«The PSD deputies elected by the Algarve are worried about the end of this period approaching and there is not even a sign of compliance with the rule contained in the State Budget to start the procedure for the construction and equipment of the new hospital building by the end of month of September», consider the social-democratic deputies.

The minister's change, they warn, "should not constitute an excuse for violating the Budgetary Law" and that "the procedure leading to the construction of the Central Hospital of the Algarve must advance, inevitably, until the 30th of September".

«Considering that this infrastructure is fundamental to help solve the problems that the region faces in the provision of health care, the PSD deputies elected by the Algarve appeal to the Socialist Party deputies, elected by the same constituency, to join this cause and exercise their influence with the Government, in order to ensure compliance with the Law», they appeal.
