Praia do Camilo, in Lagos, was banned from bathing today after water analyzes showed “microbiological values above the reference parameters”, revealed the National Maritime Authority.

«After receiving information from the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) to advise against going for a swim at Praia do Camilo, the Local Health Authority gave instructions for the red flag to be hoisted and warnings placed on the accesses to the beach, banning going to the baths", he added.

This ban “will remain in place until the results of new water quality analyzes indicate that the microbiological values are within the reference parameters”.
