Vila Vita Biergarten, in Porches, is getting dressed up to once again host Oktoberfest, the long-awaited popular Algarve-style beer festival, which returns in force from September 28 to October 9, after a two-year break.
The festive and typical atmosphere of the beer festival, originally from Germany, is recreated rigorously, in the genuine beer garden in Porches, with lots of entertainment, a menu full of Bavarian delicacies, served at the usual long tables, such as schnitzel, sausages, the typical bretzl, pork hock with sauerkraut or a traditional apfelstruedel.
Erdinger’s weissbier – one of the most renowned German breweries and partner of the event – is one of the protagonists of the festival, along with a varied selection of other beers, which includes Porches Craft Beer from Vila Vita Parc, served by the team dressed to the nines. with traditional costumes, to the sound of live music by the well-known band Al-Fanfare and the typical band coming purposely from Bavaria for a very original atmosphere.
Opening hours are every day at 17 pm, with the exception of Sundays, when it opens at 00 pm, and is closed on Monday, October 13rd. Admission is free, however, booking is highly recommended and can be made by calling +00 3 351 282 or directly at vilavitabiergarten.com.
Oktoberfest, at Vila Vita Biergarten, has been taking place since 2013 and with a gradual increase in visitors, having had more than 2019 visitors in the last edition in 7.000, who surrendered to the authentic atmosphere of typically German beer festivals.
Vila Vita Biergarten is a German beer garden that is open all year round and is distinguished by its wooden decor and colorful murals depicting traditional Bavarian beer gardens. It offers the ideal environment for a pleasant meal with friends or family, providing a fun garden for the youngest.
For the rest, the whole dynamic revolves around German beer, accompanied by homemade sausages made by Thomas Weber, responsible for the sausage and butcher shop at Vila Vita Parc.
In addition to high-quality meat, the Biergarten also offers other traditional delicacies from southern Germany, such as Schnitzel accompanied by potato salad, pickles and cranberry jam, pork hock, Bretzl and the typical Apfelstruedel.
