It was in a deep economic crisis – that of the Troika – that the Sul Informação was born 11 years ago on the 26th of September 2011. And it is in the midst of an economic (and social) crisis that the Sul Informação today celebrates your birthday.
The dream of a group of journalists became a solid project, which established itself as the reference newspaper in the Algarve and is also asserting itself in the Alentejo, especially in Baixo Alentejo.
Over these 11 years, even with few resources – the newspaper was created with the investment of the three founding journalists – we were always innovating, being at the forefront, opening paths.
This last year, the first after another deep crisis – the one caused by the pandemic, which is only now showing signs of slowing down – has brought us some setbacks. Like the fact that our Facebook page, which already had 80 thousand followers, was hacked and stolen. It's an issue that we've been trying to solve for months with Meta/Facebook, but without any solution… So, the solution was to create a nova página on Facebook, in which we advise our readers who still use this social network to put a like. Today, September 26th, to mark our anniversary, we launched another novelty: a newsletter dedicated to lifestyle, which is an area where there is always news – and good! - to give.
This is the fourth newsletter we have launched: every day, early in the morning, subscribers receive in their email box, the sun hasn't even risen yet, the “It's Levante”, a curated newsletter, that is, every day signed by one of the journalists of our team. It is a way for each of us to give our vision, interpretation and framework on the main events of the day, in our newspaper, but not only.
In the afternoon, almost every day, the newsletter arrives normal, which only lists the latest news published on that day.
Once a week, during class time, the special newsletter arrives Schools, dedicated to all subjects that have to do with school projects in the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo, with the news of teachers and students, with works and improvements in the fundamental sector of Education.
And now, with the launch, today, of the newsletter Good life, the highlight goes to lifestyle, with travel and tours, new and innovative restaurants, hotels and accommodations that open or are renovated, stores that offer different products, parties and gastronomic festivals, etc, etc.

But the news of this anniversary of ours does not stop here. On the 14th of October, a new project that our team has prepared will be on newsstands: a printed magazine.
