Exhibition will be open until April 30

The Islamic Museum of Tavira will host the photographic exhibition “Kärsti Stiege in Morocco” this month.

The exhibition, composed of 28 photographs, is a tribute to the Swedish photographer Kärsti Sitiege who lived in Tavira, and will open on the 29th of September, at 17:00.

The images on display are the result of the artist's trips to Morocco.

«Kärsti recorded not only the places, but also the people, traditions and ancient knowledge, without forgetting the multiplicity of colors, smells and sounds», says the municipality of Tavira in a note, adding that the exhibition will reveal the ancient and traditional, the difference between present, modern and developed Morocco being noticeable.

The exhibition is also completed with ceramic objects and fabrics from the places visited by the photographer.
