In this “Never Ending Summer”, there will be no shortage of cataplana, Quinta do Bill and David Carreira

The event takes place in the Albufeira Marina, in an area of ​​over 10.000 square meters

The 2nd Cataplana Festival and the concerts by Quinta do Bill and David Carreira will mark the second edition of Never Ending Summer, a festival that takes place on the 16th, 17th and 18th of September, at the Albufeira Marina. 

For three days, September 16, 17 and 18, visitors to the Never Ending Summer (NES) are invited to taste the largest cataplana in the world, evaluated by Guinness World Records, watch the Cidade de Albufeira regatta, participate in the wine fair, see the permanent exhibition and attend classic car parades or listen to the various conferences with specialists in safety, environment, tourism and nature.

Added to this is a march with a route of 7 and 11 kilometres.

The event, which will take place in the Marina of Albufeira, in an area of ​​more than 10.000 square meters, has a covered area for several exhibitors, an outdoor space with "food and drink" taverns and the stage, where the event will take place. the various musical performances.

The official opening of the event, on the 16th, is scheduled for 17:00.

One of the main attractions of the event is the second edition of the Albufeira Cataplana Festival. During the three days of the event, from 12:00 to 23:00, four restaurants in the region compete for the title of best recipe.

José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira, says that «the Festival is an opportunity to gather the family, socialize and celebrate the culture and flavors of the region, because this year's program includes many moments of leisure, and great fun”.

Quinta do Bill headlines the first day (16th). The first part of the concert is in charge of the 22LM, who take the stage from 00:25.

On the 17th, at 22 pm, David Carreira is the big star of the night. The opening is in charge of the band ÁTOA, with the beginning of the performance scheduled for 00:20.

The last day of the event, the 18th, is reserved for honoring great artists and musical bands. A Kind of Queen, a tribute band to the iconic Queen and Quem é o Bob?, a tribute to Bob Marley, one of the artists responsible for the internationalization of reggae, close the program of the second edition of Never Ending Summer.

José Carlos Rolo emphasizes that «these three days of celebration are a clear reason for pride and appreciation for the county, local products, gastronomy, culture and crafts in the region».
