According to the WikiSporting website, Vítor Tenazinha started cycling in popular races, until, in 1957, he joined Louletano, a club he represented until 1965.

The following season, he became a professional at Benfica, but a year later, in 1967, he transferred to Sporting, where he stayed until 1970.

In 1962, he was part of the Portuguese team that competed in the Vuelta a España and, in 1965, he was selected for the Vuelta a França do Futuro, where he was ranked 22nd.

Tony do Adro, president of Louletano, has already reacted to the death of the former cilista, in a post of sorrow on the club's Facebook: "we have lost a great idol of Louletano LDC and Loulé, God bless him and protect him, a big thank you to friend Vitor that brought so many joys to the Loulétanos».
