MOBI.E opens charging hub for electric vehicles in Vilamoura

Each station allows the simultaneous charging of 18 vehicles

MOBI.E, SA opens this Tuesday, the 13th, at 18:00, another charging hub for electric vehicles, in Vilamoura, reinforcing the national public access infrastructure. The new hub is located at Rua das Amoreiras, next to the Vilamoura GNR (coordinates: 37,082130, -8,120164).

MOBI.E thus continues the implementation of the Economic and Social Stability Program approved by the Government (PEES), launched by the Government and financed by the Environmental Fund.

The project totals nine hubs, in an investment of around 2 million euros. Leiria, Loures and Guimarães already have the hub in operation, followed later by Almada, Coimbra, Matosinhos, Vila Nova de Gaia and Viseu.

Each hub consists of an ultra-fast charging station (150 kW), three fast charging stations (50 kW), five normal charging stations (22 kW) and a transformer station, allowing for the simultaneous charging of 18 vehicles.

The Vikamoura/Loulé hub will be operated by KLC – Kilometer Low Cost, under a 10-year concession contract established following an International Public Tender, promoted for this purpose by MOBI.E.

With this charging infrastructure, the Municipality of Loulé now has a total of 72 charging stations with public access, connected to the Mobi.E network.

The public access Mobi.E network currently comprises more than 2.750 charging stations and more than 5.900 outlets. It is a model focused on the user of an electric vehicle, based on the interoperability of charging stations and on the universal character of use.

Electric Mobility (EGME).
