The Loulé Municipal Archive Professor Joaquim Romero Magalhães will host, on the 26th and 27th of September, a Free Course on Introduction to Heraldry, which will be taught by Lina Marrafa de Oliveira.
The course presents the basic knowledge of Heraldry in its multiple valences and aims to «endow participants with instruments that allow them to describe, identify and understand the coats of arms registered in different supports and inserted in works
of art», says the municipality in a note.
Lina Oliveira is a member of the Heraldry Commission of the Association of Portuguese Archeologists, Researcher of History and Art History.
The training takes place from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 14:30 to 17:30.
This initiative precedes the fifth meeting on the History of Loulé, which takes place on the 30th of September and the 1st of October, in online format.
