The start of the tender procedure for the construction of 64 dwellings in the Loteamento da Clona, in Loulé, was approved this Monday, September 19, at a meeting of the Chamber.
In a note, the municipality states that this is «the most emblematic project of the Local Housing Strategy of the Municipality of Loulé», with the base value of the first phase of the work rising to 11,5 million euros and the expected execution time of 36 million euros. months.
The construction area is located next to the Sal-gema Mine, next to two schools and a hypermarket. This project brings together both affordable and supported rentals, in an area that, according to the Municipality, has seen strong growth in recent years.
Within the scope of the Local Housing strategy, the Municipality of Loulé has outlined a set of actions whose main objective is to promote the right to housing for all, so, in addition to the Clona project, the municipality will soon launch the tender for the rehabilitation of the Municipal Neighborhood, in Loulé.
On the other hand, in the parish of Salir, 17 dwellings are currently under construction.
