Birdwatching Festival starts tomorrow in Sagres

Although there are already sold out activities, there is still plenty to choose from.

The Bird Watching & Nature Activities Festival, the biggest event dedicated to birds and nature in our country, starts this Saturday, October 1st, in Sagres. Until Wednesday, the 5th, more than 1500 people are expected to discover the nature of the region and, in particular, the autumn migration of birds.

In this 13th edition, the Festival's program includes 280 activities, most of which are free, from boat trips to observe birds, dolphins, caves and cliffs, to photography, painting and illustration workshops, including kayaking, cycling and foot and even games and challenges for the youngest.

The program is available here and although there are already sold out activities, there is still plenty to choose from.

To participate, just go to Forte do Beliche, in Sagres, from the 1st to the 5th of October, to sign up for the desired activities and obtain the free participant wristband which, in addition to admission to the activities, also entitles you to discounts at partners such as restaurants. and accommodation.

This year, festival participants are also entitled to free entry to the Fortress of Sagres and the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe.

Participants are also invited to visit an illustration exhibition dedicated to resident and migratory birds in the region, at Forte do Beliche, as well as a photography exhibition that depicts the collaboration between fishermen and nature conservation technicians, at the Lota Interpretation Center. from Sagres.

Taking place all over the Sagres peninsula, the Bird Watching & Nature Activities Festival program also invites participants to discover the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Natural Park.
