It is already this Saturday, October 1st, that the “Sou Quarteira” movement will hold the "She for Her". It is a set of concerts, only by female artists, in Bairro da Abelheira.

Nenny, Kady who invites Nayela, Soluna and Éllàh, from the Batukadeiras who invite local artists Isa de Brito and Alicia Rosa and DJ San Farafina will pass on stage. The shows start at 19:40 pm and admission is free.

With a poster that aims to raise awareness of a greater representation and presence of female artists in the great posters of festivals, not only national but also European, this event will take place in a special place.

Within the scope of the 30 years of the Special Rehousing Programme, the choice of Bairro da Abelheira «is intended to involve the entire community and local associations, in a unique and immersive experience», says the organization.

In addition to music, the program will also feature an area dedicated to female empowerment, with the “Female leadership program”, aimed at future generations of Quarteira, through a workshop held in collaboration with the association Girls For Girls Portugal.

“The program aims to offer, through different sessions, a social impact program aimed at local girls and young women. Together, and bringing together the experiences of female leaders and mentors, the organization proposes to help the future leaders of Quarteira to strengthen their confidence and amplify their voice”, according to the organization.

As there is no parking next to the enclosure, it is recommended to use a car park at the entrance to Quarteira or another, next to the BP roundabout, on Rua 25 de Abril.

The Sou Quarteira Movement, created by Naomi Guerreiro, Inês Oliveira, Dino D'Santiago and Miguel Jacinto, in partnership with the Municipality of Loulé, aims to “transform” the city through art.

The movement, which has the support of the Câmara de Loulé, has already given and continues to give voice to several projects: the Sou Quarteira Festival, the exhibition and book “Heróis”, the documentary #Sou365Dias, the Mural and an album “À Moda Quarteirense”.
