The photo exhibition “The Pandemia through the Look of Health Care”, organized by the Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve, opens tomorrow, September 16, at 17:00, at Mar Shopping Algarve, in Loulé, and can be seen until day 29.

The exhibition seeks to portray the moments lived in the National Health Service units in the region, over more than two years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

«This reliable portrait of what these pandemic times were like ends up taking the form of a photographic report and has the particularity of being born through the lens of two health professionals - Miguel Gonçalves, photographer and nurse at the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (Unit of Faro), and Lília Nunes dos Reis, photographer by passion and nurse specialist in Community Nursing at the Public Health Unit of the Algarve I – Central Health Center Group», explains the ARS.

Through the lens of Miguel Gonçalves, «we are transported inside the ICU – Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital de Faro, where the patients with the most worrying medical situation passed through».

For her part, nurse Lília Nunes Reis «reminds us of the entire process developed in a line of proximity to the user – carrying out tests to detect the virus, the “new” daily routine of the services and the vaccination process, one of the most important milestones in this “battle” against Covid-19».

The exhibition is part of the commemorations of the National Health Service Day (today, 15 September).

The inauguration, at 17:00 pm tomorrow, will be attended by Paulo Morgado, chairman of the Board of Directors of ARS Algarve, Paulo Lopes and Virgínia Andrade, representing the shopping center Mar Shopping Algarve, as well as nurses and photographers Miguel Gonçalves and Lília Nunes. of Kings.
