As for deaths caused by Covid-19, there was only 1 in the same period. So far and since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, 911 people have died in the Algarve due to infection with SARS-Cov-2.
In Algarve hospitals, until 00:00 this Friday, there were 31 patients hospitalized due to Covid-19 (9 less than a week ago), of which only one was in Intensive Care.
Meanwhile, the Directorate-General for Health announced this Friday that the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 and seasonal flu will start across the country from the 7th of September.
