Carminho, Bruno Pernadas and Mário Laginha are the musicians, but the non-festival offers much more than concerts.

It is not a festival, but it will have musicians, creators and thinkers, all gathered in an Algarve vineyard, to celebrate the land, meaning and beauty. It will be from the 7th to the 9th of October, in Morgado do Quintão, in Lagoa.

The first edition of CAMP is approaching, a parallel project promoted by Morgado do Quintao, who likes to present himself as «the irreverent producer of Algarve wines».

The non-festival CAMP features shows by Carminho, Bruno Pernadas and Mário Laginha, in addition to an extensive program with talks, workshops and other activities that celebrate the end of the harvest and the beginning of a new cycle.

The event takes place among ancient vineyards, under an ancient olive tree and with the imposing Monchique mountains as a backdrop.

It is there that a space suspended from reality will be born and where, over the course of three days, musicians, creators and thinkers will gather for a non-festival in which music will have a prominent place, combined with a challenging cultural program proposal, on an intimate scale.

Filipe Caldas de Vasconcellos, responsible for the Morgado do Quintao and founder of this non-festival, in statements to the Sul Informação, recalled that his mother was an artist and person of culture. “I'm not an artist, but I grew up in this environment. Maybe that's why, when I took on Morgado do Quintão's project, recovering the vineyards, I realized that an ingredient was missing here, which is Culture».

In this new and innovative non-festival, «the focus will not be on selling or even promoting our wine, but on offering an experience that allows people to evolve», added Filipe Caldas de Vasconcellos. Still, there will be wine and food.

For some of the luckier spectators, the experience will be total, as they will be able to stay on the farm for a few days, in the tourist houses that Morgado do Quintão has.

In terms of programming, the event's proposal includes three concerts by artists who share the values and concept of CAMP: Carminho (October 7th), Bruno Pernadas (October 8th) and Mário Laginha (October 9th), with the The participation of these artists in CAMP'22 will not be limited to the artistic concepts they present on stage and will promote their proximity to the event's participants.

The Talks, a cycle of conversations with guests that focuses on a reflection on the main theme of CAMP'22 – “Land, Sense and Beauty”, include prominent participants such as photographer and editor Cláudio Garrudo, lawyer and astrologer Duarte Miranda Mendes ( Duarte Amadeu), the architect and urban planner Rita Castel'Branco, the sensorialist Lourenço Lucena, and Pedro Teixeira, professor at the University of Lisbon and founder of Safejourney, among others. Anthropologist Maria Manuel Restivo also joins CAMP, in a partnership with Brotéria.

The CAMP'22 program also includes the premiere of the documentary “Tilt”, by producer Teresa Júdice da Costa. This documentary focuses on poetic creation and will be presented by the producer who will be present at the event.

In parallel with the concerts, this October weekend, it will also be possible to visit the property, participate in workshops and other activities that will be announced shortly and that are part of the irreverent and creative cultural agenda that Morgado do Quintão offers and promises to stir up ideas and senses of those who join this unique experience.

According to Filipe Caldas de Vasconcellos, «CAMP is a meeting between music and culture that come together as a field guide for each of us to get lost and find. To expand our thinking, through art, music, joy and sharing and celebrate life. It's about provoking and making you think, really."

«With CAMP, we want to share, reflect and value one another, in this place, which is beginning to be bigger than its physical border. From here, CAMP will be where the connection to the land, to the meaning and beauty of things takes place, every year, after the harvest, in preparation for a new cycle that begins», he concludes.

The price of tickets for CAMP ranges from 20 to 150 euros, depending on the desired experience. Click here to learn more and buy your ticket.
