Associação Vicentina listens to communities to create a sub-regional strategy

“Articular para Intervir” is a strategic consultation project that includes actions for the development of the Algarve Region 2030

The Associação Vicentina, within the scope of the project “Articular para Intervir”, is carrying out a process of listening to the communities of the Southwest Algarve, namely the municipalities of Aljezur, Lagoa, Lagos, Monchique, Portimão, Silves and Vila do Bispo.

There are several actions that take place during the month of September, with a view to defining the 2030 sub-regional strategy, including the holding of community assemblies, thematic seminars (webinars), actions of bench learning and a final seminar.

The community assemblies held were used to present the results of the diagnosis and debate on strategic objectives and structural actions, based on previously identified vulnerabilities and potential.

This week, there will be a series of thematic seminars, between the 20th and 28th, held online, with speakers specialized in areas considered crucial for the development of the territory: Teaching Technology, Water Efficiency, Youth, Agrifood Transformation , Mediterranean Diet and Biodiversity.

On the 30th of September, the seminar “Articular to Intervene – Contributions to the Sub-regional Strategy 2030” will take place at Villa Termal das Caldas de Monchique, with thematic panels around the involvement and strengthening of partnerships for the construction of a plan consistent and concerted approach, promoting consensus and making the best use of opportunities, including those arising from the new Community support framework.

“Articular para Intervir” is a strategic consultation project that includes actions for the development of the Algarve Region 2030, promoted by the Algarve Region Coordination Commission and with the participation of the region's Local Development Associations.
