There are products from the land and the sea, but also those made by human hands. There is gastronomy, conferences, tradition, music and lots of entertainment. THE Mediterranean Diet Fair is back in Tavira until Sunday, the 11th, to show the different facets of our cultural heritage, internationally recognized.

The official opening of the event took place yesterday afternoon, the 8th, with the presence of Ana Abrunhosa, Minister of Territorial Cohesion.

However, the program started early in the morning with a visit to the collection of traditional fruit trees of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve, at the Agricultural Experimentation Center of Tavira, the same place where most of the program of the first day took place, namely the opening of an exhibition on the carob industry, but also a seminar.

These initiatives were jointly promoted by different partners of the Fair, which is organized by the Chamber of Tavira, together with the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve, University of the Algarve, Regional Directorate of Culture, In Loco Association, Tourism Region of Algarve, Algarve Regional Development and Coordination Commission and Algarve Hospitality and Tourism Schools (Faro) and Vila Real de Santo António.

Until Sunday, there's plenty to see and do, as you can see here.
