1st cycle students in Loulé receive a book on climate change

Publications were launched in 2019

All 1st cycle students in the municipality of Loulé will receive, in the next school year, the book “CLIMAAT 100” and the “Caderno de Atividades”, written by Maria Adelaide Fonseca, with the aim of raising the awareness of the younger ones to a matter. 

At the end of 2019, the Municipality of Loulé launched the two publications, developed from a play taken to schools in recent years, with the same purpose of alerting 1st year students to the problem of climate change. , with a strong focus on the county territory.

According to the municipality, «both publications result from the strong commitment of the Municipality to the development of its climate action policy, providing the youngest with greater knowledge about current and future vulnerabilities and impacts and also giving suggestions on how individual action can produce great results”.

In a note, the Loulé City Council also mentions that climate action “continues to be a fundamental pillar of the local development strategy and one of the great aims of municipal public policy”, in line with the provisions of the Sustainable Development Goals.
