The European Week of Sport has already started in the Algarve, with around 200 activities for all tastes.
As a result of cooperation between the Portuguese Institute for Sports and Youth with the municipalities and the associative movement in the region, «about 30 sports» will be represented, involving «thousands of participants».
The closing party will be at Jardim Pescador Olhanense, on the 30th of September, Friday, from 17:00.
In addition to the presence of hundreds of athletes, some Olympic champions, world and European champions, it will be possible to watch demonstrations of the various sports present and also practice.
The sports offered include basketball, handball, bocce, volleyball, pétanque, cycling, archery, tennis, mountain biking, skateboarding, dancing, Rugby, football, hip-hop, beach ttennis, golf, freestyle skating, traditional games, combat sports, padel, water sports, athletics, chess, gymnastics and fencing.
