AHETA salutes the entire sector on World Tourism Day

World Tourism Day is celebrated this Tuesday, 27 September, and, to mark it, the Association of Hotels and Tourist Enterprises of the Algarve (AHETA) salutes the entire sector. 

“After the period in which we were all brutally affected by Covid-19, we emphasize the great resilience of this activity, which has been demonstrated in the high capacity for recovery of the economy, based on tourism”, he says in a note.

With regard to this year's theme, AHETA states that it is mandatory to «develop more sustainable tourism, with less impact on the environment, more efficient in the use of scarce resources (energy, water, etc.) .

«The Management of AHETA wishes all those involved in the tourist activity, in the Algarve and in the country, a happy day and that the 27th of September is another opportunity to reflect and work, to make our activity more dignified and rewarding», he concludes. .
