PSD/Algarve: «Another minister who goes to life and the Algarve without Central Hospital»

«It is necessary to change the policy, it is not enough to change the minister», says Cristóvão Norte

"Another minister who goes to life and the Algarve without a Central Hospital", says, in a statement, Cristóvão Norte, president of the PSD Algarve, regarding the resignation of Health Minister Marta Temido.

According to the leader of the Algarve Social Democrats, «they have spent four years with this minister and seven years with the PS in the Government, and the chronic deterioration seen in health in the region does not deserve fundamental measures, capable of giving access, to readiness and dignity that patients are entitled to. It has been an empty set in regional responses».

Cristóvão Norte recalls that «the minister's consulate is marked by failure, namely with the hospitals of Faro and Portimão and the health centers of Faro, Portimão and Albufeira leading the complaints of users at a national level, and a maternity hospital in Portimão, which often only exists on paper».

Regarding the new hospital, «which, once again, is included in the State Budget», the president of the PSD/Algarve states that he fears that «the change of person responsible for the Health portfolio will be another excuse to maintain the infrastructure in the drawer”.

«This minister, this government, launched five hospitals, and the Algarve, the second national priority, was left out. It is necessary to change the policy, it is not enough to change the minister», concludes Norte.
