Sweet Potato March is back in Quarteira

the 11th of September

Marcha-Corrida de Quarteira, traditionally known as the Sweet Potato March, is back on September 11, after a two-year break due to the pandemic.

The route, of 5 or 10 kilometers, will pass through the beach, the countryside and the urban environment, starting at Jardim Filipe Jonas.

The Zumba warm-up is scheduled for 9:30 am and the departure is scheduled for 10:00 am. At the end, there will be a social gathering where roasted sweet potatoes will be distributed to the participants.

Participation is free, but registration is mandatory and can be carried out in person at the Parish Council of Quarteira or through the online form.

The event is organized by the Parish Council of Quarteira, and integrated into the Algarve Regional Marching and Running calendar of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, in partnership with the Loulé City Council.
