On the 3rd and 4th of November

The Urban Cleaning Association – Partnership for Smarter and Sustainable Cities (ALU) once again organizes the National Urban Cleaning Meeting, which this year takes place in Loulé, from the 3rd to the 4th of November.

The IV National Urban Cleaning Meeting has the theme “Roadmap for Competitive and Attractive Cities” and will bring together 40 national and international speakers.

This meeting will aim to «demonstrate the importance of the state of urban cleaning as an asset of cities, taking into account that urban cleaning has an impact on the ability to attract business (from multinationals to business centers) and other activities, to attract tourism and to keep permanent and happy inhabitants», the association says in a note.

At this event, it will also be possible to learn about the funding opportunities of national legislation for Urban Cleaning and waste, learn about the news arising from the Single-Use Plastics (SUP) directive, namely the preparation of the national management entity, learn about strategies to end waste abandoned and good practices for raising awareness and mobilizing the population.
