Genealogist Nuno Campos Inácio presents “Encyclopedic Survey of the Families of Sagres”

Book will be presented this Sunday, August 14

The “Encyclopedic Survey of Families in Sagres”, by Nuno Campos Inácio, will be presented this Sunday, August 14, at 18 pm, at the Lota de Sagres Interpretation Center. 

This is the genealogist's most recent book, which will serve as a contribution to the historiography of the parish of Sagres.

The “Encyclopedic Survey of the Families of Sagres” is a book composed of 584 pages and 494 images.

The book is «an exhaustive documentary survey, of a monographic nature, which brings together, in an unprecedented and exemplary way, a very rich collection of information on the collective memory and the human, social, religious, military, economic, political and administrative history of Sagres, while place, town, county and parish, of its people and personalities, from prehistory to contemporary times», says the Municipality of Vila do Bispo in a note.

Next Sunday, only the first volume will be presented, but, according to the municipality, it is intended that the next two volumes of the encyclopedia, on the Parish and Families of Sagres, will be presented later this year.

Nuno Campos Inácio was born in Portimão, in 1972, he has a degree in Law and is a court clerk by profession.

As a genealogist, in 2009 he created the Genealogy of the Algarve project, carrying out genealogical surveys of the parishes in the Algarve.
