Farense won at Mafra by 3-0, today, Monday, August 29th, and jumped in the league table, to third place in the II League.

The team of Faro entered the game better, threatening Mafra's goal, but the home team reacted and managed to balance the match.

Even without dominating, Farense managed to take the lead in the 44th minute, by Róbson, who gave the best follow-up to a corner scored by Marco Matias.

The game went to halftime with the Algarve winning 0-1.

Farense's second came soon to open the 2nd half of the game, scored by João Goulart in his own goal.

Mafra reacted and narrowly missed scoring in the 57th minute, but Vítor Gabriel hit the post, rebounding a shot saved by Farense's goalkeeper Ricardo Velho.

Taking advantage of the fact that Mafra was more balanced for the attack, Farense tried to “kill” the game, but Samu prevented several goals with high level defenses.

On one occasion he made three tight saves in the same attack as Farense.

In the last minutes, Mafra once again approached with great danger the goal of the team of Faro, but it was Farense who scored.

It was already the fifth minute of added time and Marco Matias isolated himself on the right, crossed and Lucão did not forgive.

Shortly after, the referee whistled for the end of the match and dictated the victory of the Algarve by 0-3.

With this result, Farense now has 8 points, when four rounds of the II League are played, and remains unbeaten in the championship.
