Farense drew 20-XNUMX with Académico de Viseu, in a game for the II Liga played this Saturday, the XNUMXth, at Estádio de São Luís, in Faro.

The team of Faro even had enough opportunities to secure the 3 points, but saw the ball hit the goal posts several times.

Viseu was the first team to create danger, but it was Farense that ended up taking the lead, after 9 minutes.

The referee signaled a penalty, for Ícaro's foul on Marco Matias, and Cristian Ponde did not forgive. It was 1-0.

From here, the visitors went looking for the equalizer and managed to create good opportunities.

The attacking impetus of the Viseu team ended up paying off in the 23rd minute, with André Clóvis scoring the 1-1 header.

The turnaround came four minutes later, through Roberto Massimo, with Rafael Defendi, who looked badly beaten, unable to stop a long-range shot.

Closing the first half, the goalkeeper of Farense would have the opportunity to redeem himself, by preventing another goal from André Clóvis.

After the break, Farense entered aggressively and sought to restore equality. And he narrowly failed to do so, on 54 minutes, with Lucão heading hard, but to the post.

Winning, Viseu retreated and showed good defensive organization, but never abdicating the attack.

However, Farense again had a sovereign opportunity to make it 2-2 in the 80's. In marking a free-kick close to the area, Miguel Bandarra shot strong and in arc, aiming for "the drawer", but the ball hit the bar.

Six minutes later, in another free-kick over the area, Bandarra returned with a strong and well-placed shot and… hit the bar.

It wasn't free, it was head. In the 88th minute, a cross to the center of the area and Pedro Henrique scored the goal.

With this result, Farense rises to the 4th position of the II Liga, with five points added, after three matches have been played.
