“Conserved Images” contest challenges you to photograph the canning industry

Event promoted by the National Association of Canned Fish Industries, in partnership with the Portuguese Institute of Photography

ANCP – National Association of Canned Fish Industries, in partnership with the Portuguese Institute of Photography (IPF), is promoting the “Conserved Images” contest, to highlight, through photographic records, the canned fish industry and the relevance of your past.

Aimed at all people over 18 years old, national and foreign, the contest is free of charge, until 15 September, through the ANCP website, where proposals must be submitted.

The proposals will be evaluated by a jury composed of seven personalities: Adelino Meireles (photojournalist and photography editor at Globalimagens), Artur Pastor (teacher and photographer), Luís Mendonça (designer), Sandra Maria Teixeira (designer), Victor Vicente, ( designer), Teresa Nunes (IPF representative) and Isabel Tato (ANICP).

The general public will also have the opportunity to choose their favorite photo between the 20th of September and the 10th of October, through a online voting that will take place here. The winning photo in this public vote will receive a symbolic prize.

The announcement of the winners is scheduled for October 13th.

The prizes are a trip to the Fotografiska Museum in Stockholm for the winner, 500 euros in photographic material for the second place and an IPF training voucher worth 300 euros for the third prize.

The contest also has the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Grupo Global Média, travel agency Media Travel and El Corte Inglês.
