Almancil: Bones found that may belong to missing woman in Quarteira

Sandra Andrade, TVDE driver, has been missing since June

Human bones that may belong to Sandra Andrade, a 49-year-old TVDE driver from Quarteira who has been missing since 24 June, were found by authorities in a wooded area in Almancil, in the municipality of Loulé.

According to the Correio da Manhã this Thursday, parts of the corpse of a woman, dismembered and in a high state of decomposition, were found two days ago inside a suitcase that was hidden in a pile of stones, by a man who was picking up carob in an agricultural land in Almancil.

The bones - due to the heat that has been felt, the decomposition was faster, according to the CM - include a skull and hair, but there are parts of the body missing.

The Judiciary Police, which is investigating the case, admits that the remains belong to Sandra Andrade, but this hypothesis can only be confirmed by DNA tests, which are already being carried out and whose results should be known later today.
