Onda de Lagos will have a new ticket system from September

Current passes must be replaced

The Lagos urban public transport ticket system “A Onda” will be replaced on the 1st of September, in order to introduce, among other novelties, the mobile ticketing modality.

According to the Lagos Chamber, «this more sustainable modernization will allow, among other advantages, the mobile ticketing modality and the real-time monitoring of services on the VAMUS website and app».

“So that users can continue to use the service with a card, it is mandatory to replace the old transport ticket cards that become invalid from the 1st of September”, according to the municipality.

In order to «avoid queues and reduce the delivery time of new passes, A ONDA users should go to a sales point or download the form on the Lagos City Council website and hand it in, duly completed, as soon as possible. Replacement of passes is free».
