The Old Lota area of ​​Portimão receives the “coolest” market this summer

Artisans and producers with their creative offerings, gastronomy, music and lots of entertainment, in a really cool environment

One of the eCOOLological vibe This is what the seventh edition of Lota Cool Market promises, between the 21st and 24th of July, next to the old bridge and the old Lota de Portimão.

Operating on these four days between 18:00 pm and 01:00 am, the market maintains the ingredients that characterize this event and which include the cultivation of well-being and creativity, sustainability and relaxation.

The “coolest market in the south” is free to enter and will feature a musical poster and other entertainment moments, promoting the concept of an open-air pop-up market, bringing together unique and original proposals from urban artisans, new designers and artists. from the most diverse areas.

Nuno Vieira, director of the Teia d'Impulsos association and coordinator of the event, notes that "in 2022, the cool It will also be ecological vibes, which are the motto of this year's edition, in which we will try to awaken in participants a concern for sustainability, recycling and the preservation of natural resources».

 

With craft brands that use recycled materials, as well as food trucks and producers committed to sustainability, several participations are already confirmed, including the brands eco-friendly Atelier Balancê, Aconchego, Wavi Art, Jewel Kat, Atelier das Jóias, Ponto Nato, Florista Suzel, Be Nature, Aummade, Ondas e Segments, Sun Bikinis, Cabaças do Amor, Pezinhos d'Algodão, Shyrénia's Creations, Ildarte and Gagu Artesanato.

In terms of food and beverages, the companies Capijoca's, Rejoice, Rock n' Doll, Le French Cookie, Polaroskas Street Food, Mosteiro das Hóstias, Aphrodite, A Escola do Gelado, Mini Donuts, Ginjola Alentejana and Kurtospt will be present, in addition to the producers Lagar dos Pardieiros, Queijos Bilores and As Passinhas do Algarve.

Every night, at 22:00 pm, bands and musicians from the Algarve region will take the stage: on the 21st, the South Kick Band will perform, with special guest João Vila Nova; The 22nd will be the turn of Gabriel de Rose, finalist of The Voice Portugal, the 23rd will be Os Mirandas, and finally, on the 24th, Black Puzzle will perform.

 

Lota Cool Market also has an appealing animation program aimed at kids and adults, with inflatables and the participation of TIPO – Teatro Infantil de Portimão.

The event is organized by Associação Teia D'Impulsos, in partnership with the Municipality of Portimão. It has the support of APS – Administration of the Ports of Sines and Algarve, Algar, EMARP, Super Bock, Algarve Wines, Algarve Tourism Region, Zomato, Choque Frontal, Alvor FM and Sul Informação.
